GeorgeJIANG is a shapeshifter of sound, a DJ, pianist, and producer who drifts between worlds. Born under the high skies of Kunming and now rooted in the thriving underground electronic music scene, he brings a jazz touch to the throbbing pulse of the club. In his music, the restrained and the explosive intertwine – freeform improv alongside powerful rhythms.
He’s toured over 20 cities across China, built a name through live improvisation in clubs, festivals, and jazz spaces, and also cultural events hosted by the embassies of Australia, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, and the Netherlands. His original tracks have caught the attention of Japanese producer DJ OKAWARI, with pieces reaching charts in Japan.
In 2024, he was accepted into the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. At Berklee, he worked with masters of their craft, such as Luis Perdomo, Danilo Pérez, and Jason Lindner. The same year, he arranged and performed ’’Armando’s Rhumba’’ alongside Grammy-winner Nino De Los Reyes, who was featured on Chick Corea’s historic recording.
